GameRoom acts as a home, as a central hub for all your games. From GameRoom’s good looking and customizable interface you can view, manage, and launch any game you own, be it a game you got from Steam, Origin, Uplay, GOG.com, Battle.net, or some other place.

It is a well-known fact that game developers focus more on Windows than they do on Mac or Linux. GameRoom’s developer does that too. Cons:
You need to purchase a supporter key to access GameRoom’s themes. At the time of writing this, GameRoom is in Beta. GameRoom is based on Java and, although the developer explained that there’s nothing to worry about, some people might be put off by this.

Pros

A straightforward setup wizard will help you install GameRoom on your Windows PC. GameRoom has a good looking and customizable interface. Manually import games or, better yet, let GameRoom automatically import games. GameRoom provides support for Steam, Origin, Uplay, GOG.com, and Battle.net. GameRoom can monitor a certain folder for new games. GameRoom can download game information from the web; you can view and edit game information. GameRoom is free software.

Cons

equently, GameRoom isn’t available for Mac or Linux, just Windows – just 64-bit versions of Windows to be more precise. When you launch GameRoom for the first time, you will be asked to select which scanners you wish to activate. Your choices are: Steam (installed), Steam (non installed), GOG.com, Origin, Uplay, and Battle.net. The scanners will work in the background and detect new game installations. There are several things you can do to customize the way GameRoom’s interface looks like: change the language (English and French are supported), pick a custom UI scale (extra small, small, normal, big, extra big), switch to a different theme (Gameroom default, Flatter Blue, Flatter Red, Material Design Teal, Modern Black & White). Please note that you can’t access GameRoom’s themes unless you purchase a supporter key. And now, a quick list that goes over GameRoom’s main features: automatically import games from Steam, GOG.com, Uplay, Origin, and Battle.net; manually import other games; monitor a certain folder for new games; get game information from IGDB; sort games by name, rating, time played, or release date; group games by genre, theme, or series; view and edit game info, including how much time you spent playing a game; launch any game in your library. GameRoom is free software. But, if you want access to themes and other upcoming features, you must purchase a supporter key. At the time of writing this, GameRoom is in Beta, meaning that some things may not work properly or they may not work at all. GameRoom is based on Java and comes bundled with its own JRE, meaning you won’t have to install Java for GameRoom to work. GameRoom is a great tool for anyone who has a large collection of games scattered across different platforms. Thanks to GameRoom, you have a central hub from where you can view, manage and launch Steam, Origin, Uplay, GOG.com, Battle.net and other games.
